Being two respected figures,these two actors now want to solve it.Whatever differences they may have in their personal front,the step they have taken is definitely praise worthy.

A tough issue to deal with

Well,this is one controversial topic,I have to admit at the very beginning.This one is about the battle of Tibet's independence.For quite time now,we have seen some protests are being made by the people of Tibet seeking their independence.The China Government is in no mood to let this happen.Protests were even made during the 2008 Olympics.Other International countries are also keeping their eyes on the whole issue.
I am from India and I know how does it feel to be under the bondage of some other country.The people of China should feel the same as they were also under the ruling of the British.Moreover,firing at people protesting peacefully cannot be supported.
I have nothing to say about China or its people.I look upon them as my neighbors.I also believe that Dalai Lama himself should have taken more proactive stance to solve this problem.What do you people feel about it?Feel free to share your views.

Now It Is Time For Bollywood Producers To Go For A Strike

After failing to resolve the issue of profit sharing with multiplex owners, the film producers are all set to go on an indefinite strike
from tomorrow, stalling any new film releases in these theatres.

"Our demands are just, we want equal shares in profit sharing which is the norm all over the world. The situation is not in our hands and we will proceed with the strike as planned," Mukesh Bhatt, chairman of the United Forum for Bollywood Producers and Distributors, said.

The year did not start on a positive note for the film industry with mega budget films like 'Chandni Chowk to China', 'Billu' and 'Delhi-6' faring badly at the box office.

The strike, therefore, is expected to hurt both the sides as the film industry is already reeling under the global recession.

The impending strike is likely to affect some major releases like Vishesh Film's "Jashn," Yash Raj's "New York", Anil Kapoor's 'Short Kut', 'Sikandar' and Vasu Bhagnani's 'Kal Kissne Dekha'.

The disagreement between the two parties is over the revenue sharing model of 'ticket sales'.

Producers and distributors have demanded a 50 per cent cut while multiplex owners want to stick to the old arrangement of sharing between 40-48 per cent, depending on the movie's performance at the box office.

BJP Back To Their Roots

The BJP has revived its pet Hindutva themes of rebuilding Ram temple at Ayodhya and abrogation of Article 370 giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir as it released its manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections

The saffron party also promised to give 35 kg rice or wheat per month at Rs two per kg for BPL families, which is seen as a counter to Congress' offer of rice at Rs three per kg.

The BJP manifesto comes after 11 years as the party had released NDA manifestos along with its coalition partners in 1999 and 2004.

The BJP had then refrained from making any reference to the Ram Temple issue, saying it remained on the party's agenda but was not a part of the NDA's national agenda for governance. The party promised to enact strong POTA-like laws to tackle terrorism.

BJP also sought to reach out to the armed forces promising them exemption from income tax and introduce 'One Rank, One Pension' scheme. They also promised a separate pay commission for the armed forces.

In another populist promise, the party said it would raise the slab of tax exemption of salaried class to Rs three lakh per annum. For women, the limit would be Rs 3.5 lakh per annum.

Reaching out to farmers, the BJP said it will waive off all current loans and provide fresh loans at four per cent interest rate.

The BJP’s manifesto also promised to retrieve Indian money stashed abroad. There is also a promise to provide bicycle to school-going girls in Below Poverty Line families:

BJP manifesto promises promotion of alternative sources of energy and interlinking of rivers. The party also promised to build one million houses for the poor every year.

The BJP said it would bring down interest rates on housing loans to make urban housing affordable and give complete tax exemption to citizens above the age of 60.
